Urgent and Emergency Care During Covid-19

We wanted to let you know that from Monday 18th of May the clinic will again be accepting patients for emergency and urgent care in a face to face capacity at the clinic. Currently Richard our Physiotherapist, Antoinette our Osteopath and Kathryn our Podiatrist are all currently available to see patients and we hopefully have the other members joining us in the future.

We are in a position to do this because our professional associations advice has changed and this includes guidance on new health and safety requirements around Covid-19 for face to face appointments. This new guidance applies to Physiotherapy, Podiatry, Osteopathy and Chiropractic. We will still not be seeing massage patients at this stage and we will update patients when this changes.

Although this may be welcome news for some patients there will however be changes to how the clinic will operate. This is for the safety of all patients, staff and therapists that may enter the building. It may seem strange at first, as the clinic wont have its usual energy, but we hope these measures will only be temporary and the clinic will be back to full strength soon.

The following is some of the measures WE have taken:

  • We will be screening all patients before they attend the clinic⁣, this will be in the form of a phone call within 24 hours of your session

  • We will be spacing out appointments to avoid over lap in the waiting room and for extra cleaning time between appointments

  • Our team will be working in full PPE⁣; including masks, gloves, face shields, aprons and in some instances scrubs.

  • Covid specialised cleaning protocols are in place for between patients and throughout the day

  • We have reduced our clinic opening hours and reduced the amount of available sessions.

  • We have reduced the amount of therapists per clinical session to reduce the number of bodies in clinic at one time.

  • We have altered the clinic layout to best space people throughout the building

  • We will be running without a reception team, to protect them and their families.

The Following is what we will be asking of YOU before and during a session:

  • You will be asked to arrive at the clinic wearing a face mask or covering to protect our patients and staff⁣.

  • You will be asked to come to the appointment wearing appropriate clothing so you do not need to get changed into our gowns or shorts.

  • You will be asked to arrive on time, not early or late. This will avoid patients having to cross paths.

  • You will be asked to stay outside the clinic until the therapist can open the door and come collect you from your car or outside the clinic.

  • You will be asked to book and pay for appointments in advance online using our online booking system.

  • You will have to inform us if you do develop any of the Covid-19 related symptoms before your session

As we will be running on limited capacity with no reception team, for the time being, we ask you communicate with us via email info@salfordcityclinic.com as we will not always have time or even be in the building to answer the phone. We appreciate this may be strange for some people who are used to talking to our lovely reception team and we hope to have them back in place as soon as it is safe to do so.

We hope this is good news for those in need and we really do appreciate your co-operation with these new changes.

Richard our Physiotherapist, Antoinette our Osteopath and Kathryn our Podiatrist will initially be returning to the clinic, with Tom our Chiropractor hopefully joining them later in the month.
